The father-son team of Andy and Mark Benerofe guide the leadership of
CampGroup. Mark Benerofe has served as President since 2009 after holding the
position of VP, Business Development and serving on the Board of Managers. He
is committed to providing resources, expertise and leadership to CampGroup's
overnight and day camps. His father, Andy, is CEO and Chairman of the Board.
CampGroup was founded in 1998 by former campers who envisioned a company that would bring sophisticated
management practices to camp, while preserving and strengthening the
traditional values that summer camp promotes. Individual, independently-run camps joined together to create an umbrella organization featuring the top talents and strengths in the industry. Through shared best practices and professional development, our camps are
able to make each other even better while our culture encourages our camps
continue to develop their own unique identities.
Today, CampGroup is truly a family affair. CampGroup investors include 4
families and the camp directors themselves, all of whom view the organization
as a family legacy and are dedicated to CampGroup’s
mission to provide children with superior summer camp experiences that become a
fun and vital part of their lifelong education.
